Dix Années
Paris – 12PM
Bette looked out of her window. Paris. Paris by night. She smiled. She had been in this amazing city for almost 10 years now and she liked it here. She had a great life: a wife, a son, a house, a job… everything. Her wife, Vivienne was an amazing woman. Her son, Yves was the sweetest six year old on this planet. Her house looked old from the outside but was modern on the inside, she loved it. She and her wife had their own little gallery that was close to her house and it had some success. She was happy and she was willing to spend her life with this woman and their child, being happy but still she missed something… after all those years… she still missed Tina. Tina Kennard. The woman she had shared her life with for almost 7 years. She had destroyed their amazing relationship by cheating. God, she felt sorry for doing that. After their horrible last night, Bette had stayed for 6 months in L.A. trying everything to get Tina back. She could still remember the last conversation she had with the blonde-haired woman…
Bette stood on Tina’s doorstep, trying once again to talk to Bette.
Tina: Bette, leave me alone!
Bette: Tina, please, just talk to me. Give me a chance to make this all right again.
Tina clenched her hands to fists.
T: I don’t want to talk to you! I don’t want you to make this all right! Just leave me the ***** alone!
B: I cannot live without you, Tina. I can’t handle loosing you.
Bette began crying and Tina frowned.
T: Do you believe that? You cheated on me! You threw everything that we had away. I want you to go away, leave me alone! I don’t want to see you ever again!
B: D… Do you really mean that?
T: Yes, I really mean that!
With that, Tina closed the door of her hotel room with a loud bang.
Bette had cried that night, no sleep at all, just crying. She decided she couldn’t do this anymore. She couldn’t be in the same city as Tina anymore if she couldn’t really be with her. It hurt too much, she didn’t want to run in to Tina, see the aversion, and hate in her eyes. She also felt so ashamed for what she did. Her friends, except for Shane, had also turned their back on her. There was nothing that kept her here and a few days later she packed all her stuff and bought a one-way ticket to Paris, a city that just breathed art and fashion. Bette just went there for the art. She didn’t even think about what she would do when she arrived there, she just wanted away, she couldn’t handle this anymore. She wanted away from the hell that was her life.
